Saturday 8th April - walk **** Orwell Country Park near Ipswich - cloudy
and chilly.
Friday 7th - Good Friday walk - sunny.
Lovely family day as Grandson Arlo is up from Surrey, his mum and dad go to
see Ipswich Town win 4 - 0 while Arlo, me and Mag walk along the lovely
sunny Felixstowe prom and are joined by Dan, Jay and the lovely Maeva. Then
home for homemade pizza, top day:)
Saturday.
Family fun continues, mega bubbles in the garden with Arlo, then I pack a
picnic and we set off for a walk at Orwell Country Park. Setting off
through the woods first which are really quiet but a tad on the chilly side
before reaching the River Orwell with the tide in there is not much beach,
just enough to walk along. We saw the most amazing sight hundreds of large
mullet on the surface with their mouths open, we hope they were not on
trouble but they didn?t look in distress? We then had a great picnic
sitting on a tree with great views of the Orwell Bridge before setting off
past the small holding seeing all the usual animals including the black
lambs. Under the bridge and up the hill stopping for a yummy Lidl chocolate
hen and some tree climbing:) Home for delicious toad in the hole, then we
baby sit Maeva for the evening while Dan and Jay go to a concert. Good news
for them too as it looks like they have sold their house and will hopefully
move to their dream house in Ipswich over the coming weeks, fingers
crossed!
